Hongmen Tour Route (hiking into the mountain, 5:00 - 23:00), starting from 【Dai Temple (8:00 - 18:00, with ticket sales and entry stopping at 17:30)】, is a classic climbing route on Taishan that concentrates the most cultural and natural landscapes. It is also the essence of Taishan. The whole journey is 9.5 kilometers long, with 7,863 steps on the winding path. There are hardly any flat roads from the foot of the mountain to the top.
Emperors of successive dynasties climbed the mountain here for the Fengshan ceremony, and this route is also known as the Imperial Road of Taishan. Along the way, the trees are lush, the steps wind upwards, the peaks are magnificent and beautiful, and there are numerous cultural relics. There are 8 ancient temples, more than 200 steles, and over 300 cliff inscriptions, allowing you to fully experience the charm of traditional culture.

It takes about 3 - 6 hours to hike from the foot of the mountain to the Dai Summit.
The whole journey is 9.5 kilometers long with 7,863 steps on the winding path, and there are hardly any flat roads in - between.
After getting off at Taishan Railway Station, you can take Bus No. 3 to Hongmen. After getting off at Tai'an High - speed Railway Station, you can take Bus No. 37 to Hongmen, or take the No. 61 "High - speed Railway Tai'an Station - Taishan Scenic Area" tourist special - line direct bus to the starting point of the Hongmen climbing route.
You can also take Dai Temple as the starting point of the climb. Take buses such as No. 4 and No. 15 from Taishan Railway Station to the south gate of Dai Temple. After visiting Dai Temple, walk 1.2 kilometers north to reach Hongmen.
