At this time of the year, I prefer to climb Taishan during the day. Although climbing Taishan at night to watch the sunrise is the mainstream choice, climbing during the day allows me to truly appreciate Taishan and the beautiful scenery along the way. Moreover, I don't have to stay up late and endure the cold, and there are relatively fewer people. It's very suitable for "seniors" like me who can't stay up late.

Precautions:
It is highly recommended to take the cable car to go down the mountain. After climbing to the top of the mountain, we felt that we still had some strength left and planned to walk down. At the beginning, it was okay, but later our legs were shaking all the way down. The process of going down the mountain was extremely uncomfortable. My calves also ached for several days after I came back. You can book tickets in advance on the official WeChat account. Don't bring too much water and supplies as it will be heavy to carry while climbing. There are quite a lot of shops along the way on Taishan, and the prices are relatively affordable.
