Hongmen → "The Place Where Confucius Ascended" Archway → "Chong Er" Stone Inscription → Sanguan Temple → Baidong (Cypress Cave) → Buxian Bridge → Zhongtianmen (Mid - Heaven Gate) → Zhanyunjian (Cloud - Chopping Sword) → Wudafusong (Five - Lord Pine) → Nantianmen (South Heaven Gate)

It took me about 4 hours to go from Hongmen to Nantianmen. Along the way, you can admire various stone carvings on the cliffs. After passing through Nantianmen, you'll reach Tianjie (Heavenly Street), where there are places for dining and accommodation.

Continuing to climb, you can reach Zhangren Peak, which is a great place to watch the sunset. It is recommended to start climbing in the afternoon so that you can reach the top just in time to see the sunset.

You can also reach Yuhuangding, the highest point of Mount Tai. Gongbei Stone is a very miraculous stone. Zhanlutai offers excellent views.

Spend the night at a hotel on the mountain top, and get up early the next day to watch the sunrise. If you're lucky, you can also see the sea of clouds. When I went, I only saw the sunrise, without the sea of clouds, but it was still very beautiful. There were so many people, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

For going down the mountain, you can take the cable car, or walk to Zhongtianmen and then take a sightseeing bus to Tianwaicun. At that time, I walked to Zhongtianmen and then went down the mountain along the Dongyudao route. There are relatively fewer people on the Dongyudao route, and the natural scenery is quite good.
